INSOMNAI (SLEEPLESSNESS)
This seems to be a very common problem in the modern day world. Every other friend I meet complains about sleeplessness and the tired feeling as a result of lack of sleep. Tough there are lot of sleeping pills sold over the counter one should not get addicted to it.
A healthy mind requires 8 hours of undisturbed sleep. Mental tension and sleeplessness are intimately correlated to each other. If you are so worried or excited about something it may keep sleep away.
Some of the common reason for INSOMNAI:
Ø Mental tension/excitement
Ø Excess Physical fatigue
Ø Tight clothing
Ø Consumption of caffeine in the night
Ø Sexual dissatisfaction
Ø Indigestion etc…
TREATMENT
ü The dinner should be light and should be consumed three hours before sleep
ü Try taking a long walk after dinner
ü Hot water shower before going to bed Will induce sleep
ü Wear loose clothes and sleep
ü Shavasana- This is an ancient yoga method
Lie flat on back .Place hand little away from thighs with palms up. Keep eyes slightly closed. Strech the legs out and keep heels together and toes apart. Now close eyes and breathe slowly. Gradually relax each parts of body and try doing this for 15 minutes every day before going to bed. This will surely induce sleep.
